Mun Keat Looi is a science writer and features editor, specialising in longform narrative stories, social media and digital communications. He is Commissioning Editor for Mosaic, the Wellcome Trust’s unique publisher of in-depth science stories, and co-author of Big Questions in Science: The quest to solve the great unknowns (2013) and the Geek Guide to Life (2016).

Mun-Keat has written and produced news, features, podcasts, and videos for The Guardian, the Wellcome Trust, BBC Focus and Future Publishing’s Science Uncovered, among others. In previous lives, he was News Editor at SciDev.Net, and sat on the Executive Committee of the Association of British Science Writers.

Features he has edited and produced for Mosaic have been critically acclaimed, achieving the 2014 Best Reads lists of Longform.org, Longreads.com and Digg, three mentions in the New Yorker, and a nomination for Best profile of a health or medical figure at the 2015 Medical Journalists’ Association Awards. Mun-Keat won the silver Rising Star Award at the 2015 British Media Awards.
